Michael Lerner Talks About Peace February 07, 2008 4:49 AM Rabbi Michael Lerner is an activist, social theorist, theologian, Rabbi of Beyt Tikkun synagogue, national chair of the Network of Spiritual Progressives; and the founder and editor of Tikkun Magazine, a bi-monthly Jewish critique of politics, culture and society. He holds Ph.D.s in philosophy and clinical psychology. Rabbi Lerner is also a major spokesperson for the movement in Judaism known as Jewish Renewal. Michael Lerner is editor of Tikkun magazine, a progressive Jewish magazine and author of several books, including "Healing Israel/Palestine" and "Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing and Transformation." Lerner has been one of the most prominent Jewish voices in opposition to the war in Iraq and other policies of the Bush administration, and in favor of peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
