About Kyluka

Kyluka is a briefing engine. We deliver organized groups of results - briefings - about people, places and things on the web.

The Kyluka engine searches the internet and indexes the websites that it finds much like a regular search engine. When you type a query into Kyluka, we retrieve the most relevant results and deliver them to you as a single page of organized links - a briefing - that point you to the best material available on the web for your query.

How are you different from a regular search engine?

Firstly we focus on automatically removing irrelevant material from our results. Instead of many pages of links we provide you with a single page of focussed relevant results. Secondly, we organize those results under natural subheadings so that at a glance you can make decisions about which sites provide the information you really need about your subject.

Can I type in queries about anything?

Although you can type in any queries you like, for now the answers will only be helpful if the queries are about well-known people in fields such as the arts, sciences, and politics. You can find all the people we've indexed to date at http://kyluka.com/all.

What if I can only remember part of someone's name, and maybe their occupation, vocation or location?

Just type in what you can remember - we'll give you a list of briefings for all the people we've indexed that contain your query. You can either choose one of those briefings or refine your request with more query terms.
